Lined with nearly 50,000 hand-cut pieces of glass mirror and illuminated by a holographic reflection, ARK creates an intimate immersive experience in which a viewer may enter the suspended sculpture. Bearing reference to the tall-tale of Noah’s Ark, the work channels new meanings of an ‘ark’ as a ‘vessel’ in relation to the human body, presenting the riddle of being surrounded by mirrors yet unable to see oneself.
