In the apocalyptic year of 2012, there was a great flood in our city. We all lived in the same apartment complex; the critters who normally dwelled in the depths below moved upstairs with us, infesting our space as any intelligent survivor would. Yet, in our disgust of this, we found admiration.
Inhabiting a former science lab in a school building slated for demolition, the mutant rat mystics perform, inspired in the wake of impending apocalypse. Their performative cycle involves transmogrified trash, singing rat gospels, scripture-writing, spewing all-things-creative in praise of their deity Gut, built out of the recently gutted basement ruins of the apartment complex.
